Job Description and Responsibilities :
Summary
Responsible for communications system CAD drafting, and coordination with other engineering department personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Draft new and revise existing, aerial and underground plant facilities based on field and design information provided
• Render detail drawings where required of MDU schematics, trenching details, road/bridge crossings, and design schematics
• Plan and schedule projects with other department engineers and drafters
• Read and interpret utility engineering drawings and plans to draft communications networks
• Perform quality control on drafting from contractors
• Communicate effectively on issues and correct and collaborate as needed

• Previous experience working in computer aided design, AutoCAD, and MS Visio
• MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and database proficiency
• Previous experience working in client proprietary software is preferred
• Attention to detail is a must
• Basic mathematical skills and calculation ability are required
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
