JOB PURPOSE:
As the Vice President of Sales, you will report directly to the CEO and will architect and lead all sales functions for the B2B, Enterprise, Wholesale, Datacenter, Advertising, MDU and Inside Sales departments. You will develop and execute short/long term sales vision and strategy, identify new revenue growth opportunities and develop and implement the sales plans and budgets. You will be the driving strategic sales leader in a trailblazer culture organization. You will take the current sales organization and processes and adapt them to meet the future needs of a growing company while achieving sales goals and corporate objectives. Through effective coaching and leadership, you will build high performing teams and provide the direction and guidance necessary to ensure efficient and cost effective operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the development and execution of the strategic sales plan outlining the vision and tactics necessary for accelerated revenue growth in all business lines. Ensure all Sales Business Unit goals align to support the corporate strategic plan.
Develop, articulate and indoctrinate the Midco value proposition for each Sales Business Unit.
Establish and formalize sales training for all sales teams that incorporates the Midco value proposition.
Identify industry influences and obstacles. Translate market drivers into successful Sales Business Unit strategies.
Ensure each Sales Business Unit is positioned to achieve goals through effective coaching of individuals and team efforts.
Evaluate quality of performance, determine and apply appropriate and effective benchmarks and other methods of measurement to ensure exceptional service and support.
• Produce accurate and comprehensive reports, metrics, and analysis.
• Develop innovative initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and prepare the Sales Business Unit for change.
• Manage the development and be responsible for the success of each Sales Business Unit.
• Build and maintain strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect with potential and existing customers, within your department, and within the community.
• Provide timely performance feedback and daily coaching. Perform annual reviews and effectively manage disciplinary and/or performance problems.
• Be willing and able to travel in accordance with Midco’s “Use of Vehicle for Company Business” policy.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
• Maintain regular attendance to be available to provide direction and communication to team members.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Communicate with other departments to handle any escalating issues in a timely manner.
• Function as an effective team member while supporting the efforts and concepts of other departments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be willing and able to travel.
• Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
• In-person visits to a customer’s place of business are normal in the performance of this job. Specific abilities required include accessing a customer's place of business by stairs or elevator, operating doors or other entrances, navigating hallways and buildings, etc., and adapting successfully to a constantly changing environment.
