Summary:
Supports construction operations in areas of safety and OHSA compliance, quality control to ensure construction is in accordance with the established standards and customer service, managing conflict resolutions and damage investigations. Reports directly to the Construction Project Manager.
Job Duties:
Safety
Responsible for working closely with the Corporate Safety Director and Huntsville Leadership Team to promote an exceptionally safe environment with the operations teams
Assists in the resolution of safety issues and performs field safety assessments
Promotes safety training by offering coaching, mentoring and training to the field operations and sub-contractors
Prepares any hand out material such as tool box talks, traffic report or crime sheets to crews
Daily reviews work in progress to ensure that all safety hazards are being recognized and addressed and if needed develops a written program to address those hazards
Analyzes all claims, job site visit reports, and near-misses looking for repetition of injuries, accidents or hazards and communicates that information collected to the Project Manager
Interact with field operations and sub-contractors by providing support for department initiatives and other various programs
Quality Assurance
Responsible for overall quality assurance/quality control of fiber construction
Ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of fiber construction
Preform inspection of fiber construction to ensure compliance to client specifications
Identifies any and all issues that would disrupt project timelines or interfere with client specifications in order to minimize impact to project
Participates in post installation compliance checks and verifies work has been completed per client guidelines and instructions
Customer Service
Plan resolution for open damage claims.
Conduct preliminary field investigations of new damage complaints to determine liability.
Make contact with customers who have open claims.
Schedule appointment with the customer and identify a plan to resolve their complaint.
While at the damage site take photos of the damage and document all aspects of damage.
Follow up with the customer to ensure resolution.
Other related duties will be performed as needed
Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to develop, comprehend, and complete construction-related, documents and to provide updates and reports to key business leaders
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, and spreadsheet programs in order to complete required reports and employment documents
Attention to detail is critical
