Summary:

The administrative coordinator is an entry level administrative position. The coordinator works closely with the Sr. Project Coordinator, project managers, supervisors and other operations staff to help manage the full life cycle of a variety of construction projects. The position is responsible for helping to coordinate estimates, schedules, materials, purchase orders and installation of equipment and components in assigned field.

Job Duties:

Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
Assist the Sr. Project Coordinator and Project Manager in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules
Prepare project organization and communication charts
Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures
Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner
Complete project map mark ups and redlining
Maintain Contracts, Letters of Intent, Purchase Orders, etc.
Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
Qualifications:

Recent college graduate
Experience in construction industry preferred but not required
3-5 years of experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of development projects
Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Visio and other MS Office Suite of products
Knowledge of the fiber-optics network construction a plus
Familiarity with construction methods and related codes
Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills essential to job success
