Job Description
Seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer to join our team. Established in 2002, we have built a great reputation due to our highly skilled veteran splicers. We need an additional team member(s) to join our team to accommodate our growing demand. We are a team oriented company that values each employee.
Potential Team Member Qualifications:
Perform Fusion splicing – New, existing and repair in all types of fiber optic enclosures including: Tyco, 3M, Coyote, and be able to splice/repair aerial, buried, and underground cables. Experience with, Network Tie-in, Butt Splices and termination.
Able to use fiber optic testing equipment including OTDR, Fiber Identifier and power meters; PMD – Fiber Characterization is a plus
Able to use a computer (laptop), to get job assignments by email, and send submit timecard forms
Able to perceive/identify cable color codes.
Able to use a Bucket lift and drive company vehicle (clean driving record a must)
Must be physically able to perform duties of the job to include:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Lifting tools and ladders.
Work from a bucket truck.
Work in confined spaces (manhole).
Handle all necessary materials and supplies
Traffic control / Wear appropriate safety equipment and follow established safety practices and procedures.
The ability to work with other employees and / or customers in the maintenance and installation of fiber optic networks. Trustworthy to perform job independently with no direct supervision.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Pass a drug test
Must be flexible to work days, nights, evenings, work overtime and emergency call outs, and be able to drive and work safely in all weather conditions.Compensation: DOERequired: 1 years on the Job ExperiencePlease submit resume
