Verifiable experience with micro-duct placement and working on active Coax / Fiber plant.
Other Requirements
Conduit Rodder (traceable preferred, not required), locator (to identify location of clogged conduit), tools to facilitate ped/vault placement. Traffic Control equipment. (signs and cones).
Job Description
Rod existing duct containing active coax plant. Existing conduit size ranges from 1.5" to 2". Pull back micro-duct, with some locations requiring locate wire with the duct. If existing conduit is not passable, crew must be able to identify and dig up/repair the conduit. (payable item). In instances where there is dead coax (cut on both sides), that coax will be pulled out and micro-duct pulled in behind. (payable item).
All existing tap/splitter peds that are not 12x12 will be replaced with 12x12 channell peds. Amp/LE locations (cat house peds) will require a vault placed next to the ped to contain the fiber enclosures. Vaults will be 17x30, 2x3, and in rare cases, 3x5. Existing conduit must be located prior to vault placement so that it may be intercepted to allow new micro-duct to be fed into vault location.
