Job Description
ITC Service Group is currently hiring an associate to mid level OSP Inspector to work in Kentwood, MI. You will be qualified to perform field inspection of contract work in progress covering construction of outside plant, structures, buried cable and associated facilities in accordance with practices, job specifications and permit requirements. Must be familiar with RUS Assembly Units and Standards. They shall be experienced in all phases of the construction of fiber optic cable systems, engineering standards, codes, specifications and design criteria.
The Inspector duties may include, but are not limited to:
Preparing daily records which include a description of the construction activity, time of day, location, daily weather, crew members, equipment make and model, names of visitors, and irregularities and corrective action regarding compliance with the drawings, specifications and permits.
Monitoring construction crew activities.
Reporting daily crew activities.
Preparing damage reports.
Maintaining construction standards and specifications.
Preparing Company drawings and source documents, including red-line drawing and handhole and splice locations maps, for as-built preparation.
Monitoring compliance with all appropriate safety regulations.
Verifying adherence to the construction plans, including depths of placement and offsets from base-line.
