Qualifications
3+ year experience operating a directional drill and locator, Ability to determine best route possible depending on existing utility locates, Must pass pre-employment testing (MVR, drug screen and background check), Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment, Must be able to climb up and down ladders and lifts, Ability to work in all weather conditions; this includes extreme temperatures, Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. from floor and above head, Class A CDL license
Job Description
Operate horizontal directional drill rig
Operate excavation equipment (backhoe, trencher, rock saw, etc.)
Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment safely at all times
Report vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements to fleet manager
Repair damaged equipment as needed
Lead weekly safety meetings
Document and report deficiencies in safety practices/equipment to the operations manager
Report job progress to area supervisor daily
Practice safe digging by following utility locates
Work efficiently ensuring work is completed in a timely manner
Follow job blueprints provided by area supervisor, notate any changes
Ensure cleanliness of job sites throughout
Ensure accountability of all tools and materials
