Qualifications
•Knowledgeable in GIS data entry.
•Ability to understand construction maps.
•Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products.
•Must be detail-oriented in order to prioritize, plan and execute.
•Experience in AutoCAD, experience with AutoCAD Map 3D a plus.
•Experience working with GIS data, ArcGIS, and similar GIS systems.
Job Description
Responsible for the design and preparation of drawings for Fiber projects. The Technician is required to complete operations, such as annotation, GIS data entry, detail selection, plant design, construction maps, and other AutoCAD operations. The Technician will work closely with our Design team to design broadband fiber networks.
•Maintain asset systems data by entering as-built data in to systems of record in a timely manner, maintaining layout records on GIS, processing GPS data, preparing and printing detailed drawings.
•Correct and update design documents as needed.
•Enter as-built data into the appropriate systems of record.
•Create and maintain map layers using GIS, CAD and other tools as assigned.
•Convert both digital and paper documents and sources into client specific GIS formats.
•Develops and/or maintains data to be used within a client GIS.
•Interpret source documents (such as maps, deeds, legal descriptions, plan and Right of Ways, etc.) and converts them into a GIS specific format.
•To accurately complete the design requirements as specified.
•To perform typical AutoCAD operations in a manner conducive to a reasonable turn-around time.
•Create and update construction drawings, bill of materials, charts, and diagrams in CAD.
•Review and confirm completion of field revisions/as-built and maintain current print inventory.
