Job Description and Responsibilities :
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the ordering and purchasing of products and materials, the coordination and scheduling of transportation logistics, and the optimization of inventory levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
Determine purchasing needs and product specifications
Liaise and negotiate pricing and terms with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers
Coordinate product delivery logistics with vendors, transportation companies, and warehouse operations
Forecast inventory needs of field offices in order to maintain optimal inventory levels
Maintain the system of record that tracks purchases and invoices
Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
Measure and evaluate warehouse operations workflow and implement process improvements as necessary
Reconcile material billing activity; identify and correct discrepancies
Conduct data analysis and trending for purchasing activity
Ad hoc reporting
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administrator, Supply Chain, or Logistics from a four (4) year college or university; or five (5) years related experience, and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) year of relevant supply chain experience
Proven working experience as a logistics/purchasing manager
Technical Skills:
Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency; Microsoft Excel power user
Proficient in standard logistics software
Soft Skills:
Highly organized and detail orientated
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
Some travel required
