Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Possess a valid driver’s license (class "C" minimum) or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position; Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary; Provide verifiable evidence of experience in CATV construction field and prior supervisory experience in construction or related field; Must be able to pass background and drug screening; MUST live in the DC Metropolitan Area – NO Long Distance Commuters.

Job Description
Telecommunications Construction Supervisor
Washington DC Metropolitan Area
We are a long standing Telecommunications Construction Firm seeking a Commercial Construction Supervisor for the Washington DC Metropolitan Region. This position is directly responsible for overseeing of all day-to-day construction operations and ensuring all construction projects are completed in a safe and timely fashion in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Manage telecommunication technicians installing structured cabling, outside plant design, LAN/WAN applications and premises-based networks and systems for unclassified and classified Government and Private Business customers.
• Monitor assignment of daily production to in-house and subcontracted laborers and crews.
• Requisition, assign and track materials needed for the daily operations.
• Provide and coordinate Quality Assurance and Safety Inspections for construction projects.
• Develop schedule for the day to day service work with our customers and clients to include site surveys and meeting with customers on their telecommunication needs and providing them a professional solution.
• Conduct site surveys and infrastructure price quotes for Government and Commercial Projects.
• Respond to RFQ’s, RFP’s and design build requests in compliance with EIA/TIA and Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) standards.
• Design TR space to include lighting, electrical requirements, grounding methods, fire stopping, and communications rock/cabinet layout.
• Mastery in the areas of design, engineering, installation management, and implementation of transmission media including fiber optics, coaxial, shielded twisted pair, and unshielded twisted pair media.
• Complete design and implementation of cable and communication closet infrastructure.
• Manage installation of conduit, plastic hallway molding, metal duct, lockboxes, ladder trays, equipment cabinets and rocks.
• Develop OJT training plan for junior technicians working under your direction on construction practices and methods to ensure a safe a productive work environment.
• Responsible for testing and documenting new installs using labeling schemes, barcode systems, Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word.
• Identify asset requirements, coordinate logistics support and assemble Build of Materials Lists (BOM).
• Monitor team workflow to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications, safe work practices and redirect as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Meet with customers to resolve complaints and ensure teams are meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Being an integral member of the talent selection process by detailed on boarding to ensure new hires are properly oriented.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office programs and Spectrum Tracking.
