Job Description
We are currently seeking General Foreman in the Waxahachie, TX area. The qualified candidate will schedule, coordinate, and supervise subcontractor crews. This will involve supervising more than one subcontractor or crew working on aerial and underground cable construction. • Provide supervision and planning in the successful completion of specific projects.
• Determine method of construction, manpower, equipment and material needed and quality control.
• Coordination with others involved from the company or other contractors.
• Compliance with company specifications.
• Ensure completion of the job(s) with quality and timeliness.
• Provide management with proper, timely and complete job documentation and project updates as required.
• Must have an understanding of basic of telecommunications construction principles, possess a working knowledge of customers' specifications.
• Be proficient in all phases of aerial and underground construction.
• Must ensure that both he/she and all employees under his/her supervision comply with proper safety standards/ procedures and work practices according to the customer.
• Must be prepared to remain on the job regardless of weather conditions.
• Directly responsible for all personal actions and any personnel, vehicles, or equipment in their care, custody or control.
• Responsible for verification of the competency of all assigned personnel.
• Ensure all assigned personnel receive appropriate craft and safety training. Perform periodic safety audits for all assigned crews.
• Report all personal, construction, & vehicle accidents/incidents immediately to supervisors, cooperate and assist in the investigations of same.
