Pay
Biweekly pay, hours with a piece rate. We offer medical, dental, vision, and have disability, critical injury, and critical illness insurance available. We also offer Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years Experience; Must have coax and fiber knowledge; Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and have or be able to obtain a DOT medical card;
Other Requirements
We provide most of the equipment, but you need your own hand tools. We are a drug free workplace and under the Department of Transportation, so you must be able to pass a DOT drug test.
Job Description
Education Requirement: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Experience Requirement: Read and interpret engineered drawings
Skills and Abilities Perform duties satisfactorily
Language Requirement Read, speak, and understand English
Licenses or Certifications: Driver's License
Physical Requirement: Sitting, standing, hand dexterity, speaking, vision and hearing.
Mental Requirement: Ability to follow procedures in an organized fashion
Working Conditions: Field
DUTIES / TASKS
1 Punches in on time and is available for work at the beginning of each workday.
2 Operates Company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
3 Keeps truck inventory at prescribed levels. Ensure truck is locked and all items secure when leaving vehicle.
4 Load strand cable onto truck and/or trailer.
5 Splice and pull cable.
6 Install equipment on line, check for signal.
7 Climb poles, conduct pole maintenance and transfers.
8 Complete all required company job paperwork on time.
9 Complete task within standard time frame.
10 Handle and operate hand, power tools and extension ladders.
11 Is neatly groomed and wears company uniform.
12 Notifies supervisor of any unsafe equipment or working conditions.
13 Attends safety meetings as required.
14 Read blue prints and interpret maps.
15 Receives an annual performance evaluation of satisfactory or better or a plan is in place to achieve that result.
16 Follows company, customer and OSHA Safety rules and regulations while in field.
17 Operate FSM and VOM meters and anchor machines, lashers and winders.
18 Performs any other duty or assignment as may be assigned, from time to time, by the Supervisor.
