Job Description

CAT5 Construction Services LLC is seeking a Vice President of Operations for the Southeast Region of Florida. The Vice President controls, directs, organizes and plans the activities of the Operations including setting up a new office in or around Broward and or Dade County. Responsible for the performance of all department functions.
Candidate must have experience working with CATV and Telephone executives at the highest levels, also working with sub-contractor and in-house employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
• Acts as a liaison to other CAT 5 offices, coordinate communication and resolutions to problems and concerns within the operations
• Creates and presents weekly reports on performance, as requested by the President
• Develops and promotes strong customer relationships through the execution, performance and quality of work provided from operations to customers
• Develops and recommends operations policy within the department
• Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures and maintains effective internal control
• Ensures that duties, responsibilities, and authority of all direct subordinates are defined and understood
• Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives
• Reviews and approves adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency
• Reviews and approves the setting of budgets throughout the department
• Reviews and submits reports that provide critical data to drive ongoing operational performance improvement
• Reviews operational results against customer milestones and company standards
• Support organizational service strategies by developing tools and resources to ensure objectives are met

Supervisory Responsibilities
Individual is needed to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • At least 10-15 years of Operations Management experience; managing large, highly-complex, OSP/ISP FTTH projects
• Demonstrated record of fiscal management, financial acumen, and human resource management techniques
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership and a collaborative management style
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Experience with acquisitions and integration a plus
• Extensive knowledge of inside and outside plant both coax and fiber, fiber optic network infrastructure, engineering design and construction, and the ability to work cross-functionally to design and build scalable construction, installation and support processes
• Extensive knowledge of the cable and telecommunications industry
• Must possess exceptional analytical skills, and a high level of attention to detail
• Proven ability to motivate personnel in order to balance profitability and growth
• Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Willing to travel when required

Education and/or Experience
BS in Construction Management preferred or the equivalent; or 10-15 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
