Qualifications
Clear Driving Record and Criminal History. Drug Screening required. Must possess a minimum of 3 years experience of performing common Outside Plant (OSP), and Inside Plant (ISP) tasks on a Fiber Optic network. Basic Performance Test may be required. Proficient with Fusion Splicing equipment. Proficient with OTDR, and other optical testing equipment. Experienced in interpretation of customer supplied drawings, Matrix, and Logs.
Other Requirements
All tools, equipment and vehicles will be provided.
Job Description
Position is for a technician proficient in completing common FO maintenance tasks, such as Hot Cuts, Mid-sheath Access (Ringcuts), Redirects/Rolls/Section Throws, etc. Tasking such as installation of new Fiber Optic panels at commercial locations, including the prep and fusion splicing of new cabling, to accommodate integration into active network rings. Must be Well-spoken, convey a Positive attitude, and maintain a Professional appearance. Tasks may be on new-build as well as active networks. Position requires ability to work alone, and in teams. Requires participation in rotational on-call schedule (compensated).
