This position is open until we find the right Supervisor to Lead a team of technicians.

Pay

$40,000 to $55,000 annually. Paid weekly. There is competitive bonuses based on meeting certain metric requirements and they are paid monthly.

Qualifications

Must have Supervisor experience and have knowledge of the cable industry within the last 2 years. We are looking for someone who is self motivated and is able to motivate a team of technicians. This position will also require annual trips to our corporate office for training and company updates.

Other Requirements

We will supply all uniforms, vehicle, tools, phone, computer, etc. for this job.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Manage all system activity and ensure all requirements of TAK Communications, Inc. are completed efficiently and effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Ensure all system tasks are fully completed
• Continuous daily coaching and training of system technicians to ensure that progress is made and ensure system progress as a whole.
• Maintain current knowledge of any and all technical aspects of the cable industry.
• Perform Quality Control Inspections by reviewing work completed by system technicians
• Ensure a minimum of 10% of all technicians work is inspected for TQA standards as needed
• Ensure one vehicle inspection per tech per quarter is completed
• Ensure each tech completes one vehicle inspection per month
Ensure technician performance reviews are completed as needed
• Analyze and correct all daily technician paperwork
• Assist warehouse with equipment issues
• Research all aspects and stay current with the always advancing cable industry
• Be able to perform any necessary installation
• Minimize trouble calls after installation and meet weekly installation goals.
• Maintain and enforce company, federal and state rules and regulations, such as non-discriminatory practices, payroll and overtime guidelines, etc.
• Administer appropriate corrective disciplinary actions and prepare supporting documentation to address employee performance and/or behavioral issues
• Attend weekly supervisor conference call
• Create an agenda for tech meetings
• Maintain and build customer and vendor relationships
• Be flexible, adapt and overcome, embrace change
• Ensure employees have opportunity for success and satisfaction by creating, supporting and implementing employee development activities.
• Ability to multi-task
• Ensure work/escalated issues are addressed and completed in a timely manner and that all delays and revised timeframes are communicated to affected parties.
• Perform all work necessary to conform to quality control guidelines (includes compliance with requirements outlined in applicable regulations such as: OSHA, FCC, AND NEC, etc. and following procedures as outlined in the TQA, other installation, Technical Operations, and Safety Manuals.
• Promote company products and services and educate technicians
• Motivation to get additional licenses/ certifications as needed
• Clean, maintain, stock, and secure assigned vehicle and equipment
• Ensure that resources (i.e. Company vehicle, Charter equipment, and inventory, meters, PDA’s) are maintained in proper working order
• Utilize and be proficient with tools and information to enhance business results (DRUM, EQA, TAK Share point, etc.)
• Operate Company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
• Performs any other management requests or directives as they relate to the overall function of Company policy.
• Maintain appropriate license as required by Company.
• Enforce all safety codes, (federal, state and Company) including employee awareness, training, reporting, and correction.
• Work to reduce unnecessary and inefficient work.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
• 3 year Broadband Technician or equivalent work experience
• Business certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines required.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and related state and local codes.
• Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Ability to manage a staff (approximately 10-20) within an area.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Basic and mechanical aptitude, ability to climb 25-ft poles utilizing a 28ft extension ladder.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge.
• Adaptability and being able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to travel within market as required for inspections or company meetings. Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work indoors in confined space, poorly ventilated areas such as attics during extreme heat
Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, cleaning solutions
Work outdoors in all kinds of weather and at all times of the day or night
Work performed near power lines and electricity
Work and travel in inclement weather

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to safely use weight-bearing equipment (safety harness and ladders) without the maximum weight limitations of the equipment
Ability to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devices
Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder, (approximately 28 ft high and 75 pounds)
Ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires
Ability to make cable connections in tight spaces by bending, reaching, twisting
Ability to operate appropriate computer or test equipment associated with position
Ability to perform job from high places (i.e. poles and roofs)
Ability to use the following hand tools: electric drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers in the installation of cable to the residence and TV set converters
Ability to walk over all types of terrain in all kinds of weather while carrying tools and equipment, including ladders, and fully loaded tool belts
Ability to work while standing 50 to 70% of the time
Ability to work with small components and wire to make cable connections
