Job Description and Responsibilities :
Summary
Responsible for ensuring that all training, certifications and follow ups are completed in an assigned region. Provide safety, compliance, and regulatory training to all management, staff and crews throughout the region. Oversee the development and implementation of training strategies, plans, and processes to support organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Design and delivery of a variety of training courses for crews, supervisors and managers that are employed throughout the United States
• Ensure highest level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld
• Conduct training needs assessments for all markets
• Coordinate with local managers on all aspects of training delivery and follow-up
• Collaborate with local site management teams to improve operation metrics, tech morale, and management efficiency; including, bridging operations duties that could be monitored and enforced by the local trainer
• Prepare and facilitate training courses, both live and webinars, as well as participate in technician meetings
• Oversee the collection of participant information and evaluate the results of all training activities by the local site trainers
• Perform miscellaneous duties related to training and development including warehouse site inspections
• Coordinate tools and safety gear to align with operational needs
• Engage local offices regarding technician, warehouse and safety metrics
• Enforce and maintain area standards in safety, workmanship, performance and productivity
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standard procedures, rules, and regulations
• Coordinate market assignments of employees to ensure sites and offices are staffed according to project needs
• Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years trainer experience, telecom construction or utility industry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in management of training/educational programs
• Strong organizational and management skills
• Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Organized with a strong attention to detail and capable of working with minimum supervision
• Demonstrated expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety and general industry knowledge
• Experiential training design and methodology or developing technical training programs, including working with technical subject matter or facilitating technical workshops and other events designed to improve the ability of individuals and organizations to achieve key business goals
• Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures
• Project Management skills
• Experience leading training programs across multiple locations is highly desired
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 75 lbs
• Travel up to 100% of the time, including short notice travel. Travel may include local site travel or national travel depending on training needs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
• Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
• Must possess valid driver’s license
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
