Our Technicians make between $60,000.00 to $140,000.00. You guys know the game; Best Knowledge + Best Tools = Best Pay. Oh, and there's that "Hunger Thing".
Qualifications
In our world there is SHALL and SHOULD. Grab NFPA 72 and look it up. You SHALL have some type of Alarm Experience. You have the 1099 Experience and that's 50% of the battle. Our Tech's are State Licensed and NICET Certified. We pay for their test, help them with the paperwork, and give them a raise when they pass. Our Company is 25 Years Old. With no advertising we have grown every year. We have a staff off 100 in Six States. It's January and we are advertising for help. What's that tell you?
Other Requirements
Well you won't use it much but the "WHOMPER" still comes in handy. I started as a Cable Man in 1991, and yep, I still have it right behind the garage. In fact I have two. A truck or van is required and professionals drive white. The family SUV with a ladder out the back is not professional. There are a lot of specialty tools needed but you will pick them up as the job requires it. We need WC & GL before we even build your Portfolio. Don't have it? Job Description
You will learn Fire Alarms and the Code that governs them. You will learn Burglary Alarms, Access Control, CCTV (Everything from Analog to HD to IP), Networking, Fiber, Intercom, and PA Systems. We will coach you on Testing and becoming Qualified in this Field. We do NO RESIDENTIAL. I know a cheer went up from some of you, lol. Just like Cable we have those that enjoy Installation and some that like Service. Take you pick. Our "Heavy Hitters" do them both.
We are extremely versatile. Want to relocate? Take your pick; GA-FL-AL-TN-NC-SC. Do we pay for it? If you were working for us in Atlanta and you were a Producer, probably.
