RoW Specialist positions are located in both Tampa, FL and Jacksonville, FL.

Qualifications

Ability to communicate amicably and efficiently with others, both orally and in writing.Basic understanding of permitting principles and practices with the ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and permit package requirements.Two (2) or more years work experience in comparable field or equivalent.Intermediate desktop automation skills required (MS Office Suite).

Other Requirements

Personal vehicle maybe required if company vehicle isn't available. Mileage will be offered when personal vehicle is required.

Job Description

ROW Specialist to become efficient in the gathering and submission of any and all documents required for permit applications to the local jurisdictions/permitting agencies for a Fiber to the Home (FTTH) build. It is essential that the candidate possesses the ability to build and utilize existing relationships with the local permitting jurisdictions while representing the company and the client in a positive and professional manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1. Learn and develop proficiency for ROW policies and procedures with the ROW jurisdictions (e.g. Cities/Townships, Counties, DOT’s, Railroads, Gas Pipelines, Power Transmission Lines, Private Properties, Distribution Pole Owners, Dark Fiber and Spare Duct providers, etc.)
2. Assist in the preparation and submission of applications (e.g. Pole Attachment, Underground ROW Permit, and Special Crossings)
3. Cultivate and manage amicable relationships with above mentioned jurisdictions as well as with internal Bechtel functions
4. Become familiar with local Zoning process and permitting for Fiber Huts/Shelters
5. Review of fully executed leases/easements with appropriate exhibits, final zoning approval documentation and drawings, building permits, and stamped construction drawings to ensure quality and consistency of legal entitlements as directed by Market ROW Lead
6. Able to understand and critique Engineering drawings to meet guidelines set by jurisdictions
7. Understand the flow of work from Network Planning, OSP Design, and Construction through to permit closeout
8. Update and maintain project database for assigned workload including scheduling, forecasting and tracking of major tasks and milestones
9. Participate in all market meetings as required
10. Verify that all necessary site-specific information is submitted, ensuring quality and consistency of all documents throughout the entire ROW file documentation process
11. Able to obtain Project automobile Drivers Permit as required for the position and must obtain within 14 days of report date
