Pay schedules discussed during interview. This is a full time in house position. Contractors need not apply.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5-year experience is required. Must be knowledgeable in most aspects of fiber and coax splicing is a plus
Other Requirements
Loose tube, ribbon fusion splicers, all specialty tools and meters with the exception of your favorite hand tools will be provided. A bucket truck and trailer is also supplied.
Job Description
An established company on the East Coast of Florida is searching for full time in house fiber splicers (coax splicing is a plus).
Must be experienced in aerial and underground fiber and possible coax splicing. Must be able to de/relash fiber and splice cases at least two spans. Must be able to ring cut into existing fiber. Ability to splice coax nodes, amps, line extenders and taps along with forward and reverse setup/balance is a plus.
Must be able to read prints and keep good records using MS Excel. Must be very good with all aspects of paperwork as it is part of each project.
We are a state wide prime contractor for multiple utilities so you must be willing to overnight travel within the state of Florida if needed. We try and keep this to a minimum. You must be willing and able to work nights and weekends as 50% of your work will be between 1am and 6am.
You must be able to safely lift and carry a 75lb ladder. A bucket truck is supplied so we try to keep the ladder use to a minimum.
If your attitude is all about you or you have a lot of baggage that you cannot sort out – do not waste our time. You will not last here. We work around our customer’s schedule, not yours. We would really like you to succeed and prosper with us.
