Grande is currently looking for a Construction Coordinator who will be responsible for supervising aerial and underground construction crews.

In this role the primary responsibilities will include:
- Perform pre-construction field inspection to ensure completion of make ready and existing aerial facilities owned by various power, telephone and CATV companies.
- Responsible for working with and managing contractors, Preparing detailed work prints, writing Job Cost estimates, and creating a bill of materials (BOM) for aerial and underground projects.
- Perform field review of upcoming projects to ensure accuracy and necessity of proposed field construction.
- Perform field inspections against invoices to ensure accuracy, ensure Grande specifications are met, and material usage is correct.
- Responsible for forecasting material needs and coordinating with Project Manager and Warehouse personnel.
- Provide regular project status reports to the Project Manager and Community Liaison Manager.
- Provide supervision and support to OSP Inspector.
- Responsible for coordinating with others to ensure the completion of make ready work of existing aerial facilities owned by various power, telephone and CATV companies.
- Responsible for the implementation of project contracts awarded by the Project Manager, preparing Notice to Proceed and creating a bill of material for aerial and underground projects. Perform unit price negotiations with contractors when scope of price is outside price standard price schedule.
- Responsible for forecasting material needs and coordinating with purchasing manager.
- Provide weekly project status reports to the Director of Construction, Project Manager and Community Liaison Manager.
- Drives a company vehicle in the course and scope of performing duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our idea candidate will possess:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Operating a bucket truck and/or pole climbing is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years experience building and maintaining communications networks; familiarity with Autocad is a must.
- Must possess project management skills, the ability to make decisions, work with a limited amount of supervision and be able to read and interpret construction prints.
- Must have working knowledge and experience with aerial and underground CATV/telephone construction methods and procedures.
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel are a must, and experience with Microsoft Money preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record per Fleet policy.
