Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for experienced Underground Drill Operators to assist with our telecommunications construction project in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We’re family owned and operated, with a financially stable business, with advancement opportunities. Responsibilities:
A successful Underground Drill Operator will perform work as assigned by the company; including all areas of installation, maintenance, and/or repair our customer's telecommunications facilities. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with Horizontal Directional Drills, locating devices, and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems. Individuals must be able to read prints and have knowledge of the underground process. Ability to trench, bore, place duct, and direct bury main-line and drops. Locate & verify all utilities before construction. Clean -up job when finished.
Job Requirements:
• Must have directional drilling experience (rock boring experience is a plus)
• Experience in UG fiber construction
• A good work ethic
• Must have good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• The ability to work safely, with or without supervision
• Must be able to work independently at times and demonstrate good judgment
• Logical problem solving skills
• Operator must be knowledgeable with all typical safety procedures and apply them at all times
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted, more assisted
• Be able to locate both cables and drill heads
• Be able to hand dig if required
• Work outside in all types of weather
