Specific skills required are: • Experience with right of way researching / permitting for underground utility construction • Experience with using AutoCAD to draft permits to specific municipality specifications • Ability to visit job-sites and gather information required to draft permit applications. • Experience with traffic control permits preferred, but not required

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat a plus • Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point ) • Must be able to pass drug screen and DMV check (Valid driver’s license required) • Must be able to pass e-Verify and be legally permitted to work in the USA

We are in search of an AutoCAD drafter with experience in right of way permitting for utility placement. Candidate must be able analyze utility maps provided by various municipalities to draft right of way permit applications. Information will also be supplied via site visits by company survey technicians. On occasion the drafter will be required to visit job sites to review the location in person.

Experience in traffic permitting is not required to start, but candidate must be willing and able to learn the process quickly. The majority of the traffic control permits are taking the Cal DOT manual and applying it to the location being permitted for the utility placement. We are not looking for a traffic control engineer.

Successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running. This position requires specific knowledge above being able to use Auto CAD.
