Job Description
Primary Duties:
• Reviewing daily work
• Responsible for completion and/or status of construction
• Supervise crew in the field
• Provide all documentation as required
• Provide feedback on individual crew members
• Train crew members on daily operations
• Maintaining crews productivity
• Coax splicing and activation
• Placement of underground and aerial infrastructures
• Knowledge and ability to place both coax and fiber
• Ability to activate forward and return
• Understanding of standard construction practices
• Map reading and directions
• Ability to build material list from print
• Performs all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.
• Vehicle and equipment operations from trucks to other equipment as directed and certified
• Towing various trailers with flatbed trucks
• Ability to operate construction equipment for both underground and aerial i.e. compressor, lasher, rodder …
• Aerial/Underground work as needed and directed and as trained
• Learn how to read and construct from a design schematic of map
• Learn all inventory and equipment required for these projects
• As applicable, proficient on the use of equipment:
• Line truck
• Bucket truck
• Cable Reel equipment
• Saws and drills
• Compressor
• Ability to climb poles with climbing equipment safely if required for job completion.
• Move and relocate RF and Fiber service
• Maintain Truck stock
• Familiar with NESC (National Electrical Safety Commission) safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Valid US Drivers license
• Clean driving record
• Lift and carry up to 70 lbs
• Must pass UI Test (urinalysis)
• Climbing certification or related experience
• Practical working experience of overhead construction for both RF and Fiber
• Knowledge of Overhead & Underground Bill of Materials
• City, County and State clearance code knowledge and related
• Flagger Certified for field work as needed
• Excellent verbal, written, phone, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced high volume work environment
• Dependable, flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as needed
• Ability to be on-call, as needed.
• Work independently under minimal supervision
