Qualifications
Requirements of Position:
• No less than a BS in field related to Occupational Safety;
• OSHA Certifications – 500, 510, 30, & 10 are a plus
• At least 10 years in upper management of Occupational Safety;
• Familiarity with construction industry;
• Proficient in use of computers
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Development, refinement, and enforcement of overall Occupational, Health and Environmental program of company;
• Promotion of a hazard and accident free workplace;
• Safety Training
• Interaction with Federal, State and Other governmental agencies regarding safety (i.e. OSHA, DOT)
• Safety compliance of fleet and equipment (close interaction with fleet management);
• Drug policy and enforcement;
• Full interaction with property and casualty side of insurance program from negotiation to management;
• Damage and loss prevention program- from avoidance to assessment and settlement;
Functional Knowledge and Business Expertise Required
• Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product
• Accountable for specific performance
• Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
• Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same
• Exceptional work ethic
• Familiarity with alternate risk management and risk financing program structures
• Ability to build rapport and credibility with broad base of stakeholders
