Qualifications
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and/or pull 100 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to endure long periods of standing, sitting or walking
• Bending, twisting, squatting, reaching above the head several times per day
• Ability to work full-time and in an outdoor environment
Other Requirements
Additional Requirements: Hard working, trustworthy individuals with a desire to learn and participate in a fast growing company. 1+ years’ experience in Fiber Splicing is a plus. Candidate must have a clean driving license and be Drug free.
Pre-employment physical and drug testing will be conducted.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Maintain proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignment
• Be familiar with the fiber optic color code
• Splice fibers with quality as the priority
• Assemble splice enclosures, pedestals, and ONT's as required per job
• Properly ground cable and components for locate and safety purposes
• Test fiber routes once finished to ensure quality and completeness of work
• Work with live fiber without interrupting service
• Read prints to determine cable routes, counts and splice points
• Operate vehicle safely, following all safety and traffic regulations
