Qualifications
An Equipment Operator will operate various pieces of equipment such as a Trencher, Directional Drill, Excavator, and Backhoe. Equipment is used to excavate, grade, move dirt, gravel or other materials. Operator must read and interpret drawings, simple plans and complete a daily written report.
Job Description
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in construction for utilities is preferred.
2. All applicants must be comfortable digging or drilling around existing working underground utilities.
3. Current valid driver’s license (preferably a CDL) with a clean driving record is required.
4. Must be able to perform heavy physical work and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
5. This position requires significant time doing manual labor functions, walking on uneven ground, working in tight spaces and in general, being overall physically demanding.
6. A pre-employment, on site equipment operator certification will be required. The applicant must successfully operate the equipment to the satisfaction of the construction supervision.
7. All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, random testing will be completed after date of hire.
8. Must pass a customer driven background check.
9. Work up to 6 day weeks in an all -weather environment is required.
10. All applicants must follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
11. All applicants must speak the English language fluently and clearly
