Qualifications
Knowledge of aerial construction practices and equipment, preferably with electric utilities. A knowledge of NESC safety codes. Proficient computer literacy skills. Ability to manage, organize, and clearly communicate. Ability to read construction prints. Acute attention to detail.
Other Requirements
A valid drivers license. Willingness to travel and stay in hotel for a week at a time. A high level of physical fitness. Self motivation and high productivity. You will be required to provide your own tall boots.
Job Description
As a field Data Technician you will be expected to travel around Indiana and bordering states collecting data on the construction of existing utility poles. This data includes: attachment heights of electric conductors and communication cables, pole tags, brand, circumference of pole at ground line, mid-spans, anchor and guying information, and other various pole characteristics and notes. All crews consist of two men teams. The pay will be based on a per pole unit rate which will be discussed in the interview.
