Other Requirements
Need to ability to read and understand system maps, construction, and splicing documents. Willing to work outdoors, daylight, and night hours. Able to be flexible with the work load and respond to outages. Experience with fusion splicing, OTDR, and fiber identifier. Experience with CWDM and PON components, including testing and documentation. Experience with a variety of enclosures, including TYCO,3M, and Coyote/PLP. Travel is required!
Job Description
Splice loose tube and ribbon fiber optic cable
Terminate at customer site
Test with OTDR, Source and power meter, and traffic identifier
Work in active enclosures, without causing outages
Experience in muxing and EPON splitters
Maintain test documentaion
