Must be able to pass background check, and have own tools, an vehicle. Must have current insurance
Other Requirements
Ability to work aloft using bucket trucks, ladder or climb poles. Understand construction prints and splice matrices. Willing to work outdoors, at night, in whatever weather. Willing to respond to outages 24-7, and travel to projects in other states. Experience and proficient with CWDM and PON components, including testing & documentation. Experience with a variety of closures, including TYCO, Coyote/PLP and 3-M
Job Description
Splice loose tube and ribbon fiber optic cable
Terminate at customer premise
Work with other in-house techs on ISP construction to customer term
Test with OTDR, source & power meter, and traffic identifier
Work in active closures, without causing outages
Experienced with muxing, and EPON splitters
Maintain test documentation
