Job Description

Midwest CATV, Inc. is currently hiring a full time Coax Splicing Technician. We are looking for a hardworking, dependable and organized Coax Splicing Technician with at least 1+ years of field experience. The candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check, have an acceptable driving record and is drug free.

A Successful Coax Splicing Technician:
---Has knowledge of General Scientific Atlanta active and passive equipment.
--- Proper input level activation, map reading, tombstone reading, end of line reading.
---Be able to splice new build, maintenance, night splice, and new plant tie into existing.
---Knows how to troubleshoot RF and has powering skills.
---Splicing within specs of current plant and correcting any QC issues that may arise.
---Must have splicing and construction map knowledge
---Must be able to safely operate a boom truck, climb poles and ladder work as needed.
---Promotes a positive and professional image through their appearance and attitude
---Is energetic, enthusiastic, and confident
---Has a high sense of urgency, lots of drive and are self-motivated
---Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Physical Requirements:
---Must be able to lift/carry a 70 lb. ladder
---Must have full body mobility: twisting, turning, and working for extensive periods on their feet
---Must be able work at heights of 25ft on a regular basis
