Job Description
Job Description: The OSP/ISP Project Supervisor will be responsible for the overall management and execution of operations for multiple projects for Charlotte-based STS Cable Services, Inc. The candidate for this position will possess outstanding leadership skills, motivational skills, proven people skills, and a financial understanding of the communications construction industry. The successful candidate will be an energetic hands on individual. Candidate should have asset management experience, personnel recruiting and training skills, and exemplary customer relations skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate chosen for this position will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Responsible of issuing jobs to employees and sub-contractors on a daily basis
• Responsible for site surveys and field engineering of new projects.
• Will be required to plan a project from start to finish from calling 811 tickets to submitting final as builds and fiber schematics as necessary.
• Assume responsibility for employee performance reviews as well as making sure disciplinary action is taken as necessary and according to company guidelines.
• Oversee employee compliance in company and customer policies.
• Maintains ongoing contact with the customer to encourage relationship building.
• Will develop and maintain appropriate intercompany communication for strong partnership building.
• Assist in administration of quality control program, handling of customer complaints, response to vehicle incidents, and satisfactory completion of property damage claims.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Oversee financial and scheduling aspects of assigned project(s), including profitability tracking, cost containment, and planning for the meeting of targeted completion dates.
• Is actively involved in the hiring and training of new employees.
Other Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Telecommunications OSP/ISP Industry.
• Minimum of 3 years management and/or supervisory experience.
• Have a firm understanding of Coax, copper, HFC and Fiber based networks
• Knowledge of wireless systems (e.g. DAS, Small Cell, Wi-Fi) preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Self-starter who is able to handle multiple issues simultaneously
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Any additional professional development or training in the classroom or on the job is a plus.
Miscellaneous:
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.
• Must be able to pass a background check per company policy.
• Must be drug free.
