Job Description
The ComTran Group, Inc. is seeking full-time Horizontal Directional Drill Operators and Locators interested in building a long-term career in the underground telecommunications industry.
Job consists of day to day drilling and pullback of various sized conduits for outside plant fiber networks. The majority of our work is performed under master service agreements with telecom carriers and regional utilities. The work consists of new builds, maintenance, and restoration in rural and metro areas. The scope of work varies between each job and candidates must be able to:
•Operate Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch Drilling equipment
•Ensure proper bore rig set-up, fluid mixing, and down-hole reaming to maximize daily production
•Locate underground utilities and monitor locating process during drilling
•Read prints and demonstrate good judgement in the field
•Work as a team in tandem with project manager and other crew members
•Perform all duties adhering to company safety procedures and policies
