Job Description
Job Summary:
The Trainer will report directly to the Operations Manager. The Trainer will drive the recruiting process from sourcing candidates through hire, background, orientation, safety, and technical training of all new technicians. Travel is required for this position including locations outside the local market.
Essential Functions:
Drive the local on-boarding process including sourcing candidates, recruiting, interviewing, and selection.
Completion of new hire paperwork insuring 100% compliance to all federal state and company policies
Conduct classroom training of all new hires including but not limited to, HR Policies and procedures, safety and technical orientation.
Assure that the field training of all new technicians is conducted using the training manual, the field scorecard, and the field training checklist. Administer exams and quizzes on trainees.
Assure that the new hires receive all tools and safety equipment before entering the field and to make sure there is a proper hand-off of the new technicians from field trainer to supervisor.
Work closely with the QC technicians to monitor the effectiveness of the training by measuring the quality of the work performed by the new technicians.
Work closely with the local Operations Managers to conduct safety training and tailgate talks.
