Fiber Certification is good but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Have full knowledge of operating and using fiber optic splice equipment.Should be familiar with reading Prints & RUS Counts Able to troubleshoot and repair problems utilizing optical test equipment such as OTDR, Fiber Identifier and Fiber Scope Splicer should be able to prep, tray and splice fiber optic cable ranging from single fiber to 288 count, and performing ring cut when needed Ability to Supervise & Train others a plus

Experienced Fiber Optic Technician. Should have experience in all aspects of Splicing, Testing & Troubleshooting. Mid sheath, Hot cuts etc. Experience with OPGW is an added benefit.
