Experienced in Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) fiber optic installation and maintenance. Proficient in optical cable preparation and fusion splicing. Proficient in the reentry, assembly, and installation of TE Raychem, Windsor, Coyote, and similar OSP products. Proficient with OTDR and OLTS equipment. Experienced in basic troubleshooting of Metro optical networks. Proficiency demonstrations may be required.

All vehicles, equipment, and tools provided. Must reside locally. Must possess valid Drivers License, and ability to pass Criminal History and Drug screening. DMV Report will be required.

Full Time position with a growing Fiber Optic contractor. Position is for a Night Shift Technician, to augment a multi-member maintenance team. Tasks involve routine,and emergency, maintenance tasks on customer-owned fiber optic metro, and Long-Haul networks. Position includes fiber optic specific tasking involving Loose Tube cabling ranging from 12 strand, to 432 strand. Proficient in re-entry of active network closures, and performing critical tasks such as active cut-in's, desplicing, and Redirects. Mid-Sheath (Ringcut) preparation required. Minimal travel expected. Compensated On-Call rotation.
