Job Description
The President of the NX will oversee the field personnel and processes in implementing and maintaining Fiber Optic systems, procedures, quality standards and cost efficiencies in accordance with company standards. This position will work with contractors and employees that engineer, procure, construct and maintain fiber infrastructures. The President will manage processes to service customer contracts in the following areas: underground, aerial, fiber splicing, engineering and ISP and OSP construction.
This position works with multiple contractors to construct efficient and reliable crews and plant that allows us to effectively meet our clients' needs. Position will manage customer obligations, plant reliability, safe operations and efficiency. This position is responsible for business planning (strategic, operational and tactical), as well as ensuring proper coordination among division assets.
Ensure Division is in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as wells as with federal, state, and local regulations. Observe and monitor the competition/market to identify areas of opportunity. Maintain Division’s positive reputation within the community
Must have experience dealing with a construction sub-contractor and in-house model.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Vendor Management
Monitor overhead costs in relation to total volume
Review and approve all department budgets
Monitor the starts-to-close and backlog process on a monthly basis to facilitate achievement of the business plan while ensuring consistent activity levels in all departments
Works in collaboration with CEO in securing new business
Engage existing contacts for work opportunities
Qualifications:
Must have held a senior leadership position in fiber construction to be considered
Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years related senior leadership fiber roles, working in a high-volume production environment
Current working knowledge of building codes, OSHA/EPA regulations and regulatory requirements
Position requires an effective delegator, risk manager, as well as an excellent communicator
Demonstrated record of fiscal management, financial acumen, and human resource management techniques
Working knowledge of design and construction methods and practices is a must
Able to travel to meet with customers and crews and manage projects
