Job Description


JOB SUMMARY:
Under supervision, the Tech Support Representative performs consultation services to Triwire customers and field technicians, providing technical support regarding basic installations, disconnects and service changes for residential and business customers. Knowledge regarding high speed internet services, telephone and cable are preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork
* Receive incoming calls from the customer and/or technician to detect proper signal levels, picture quality on television sets and capable of explaining various options available with customer equipment (cable, internet, and telephone.)
* Educate customer on proper use of the service, including how to add additional services and access help online, channel lineups, proper equipment usage, and other services that are available.
* Possess knowledge of all necessary cable wiring (interior and exterior) and hardware from the tap to the customer's equipment for the reception of cable and other company services that are offered for single, multi-family and/or commercial dwellings.
* Understand connects (new connects and reconnects), disconnects (requested and non-pays), upgrades, downgrades, relocates, install additional outlets, and install or remove equipment (i. e. converters etc. as instructed).

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

ABILITIES, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
* May include some clerical duties such as answering telephones, filing, and data input.
* Must be computer literate; Word, Excel.
* Must possess tact; have above average communications skills to work effectively with customers, internal employees and field technicians.
* Must have the ability to convey a positive and professional image.
