Qualifications
Must be an experienced CATV splicer. Splicer must possess good climbing skills on wooden poles, be able to throw a ladder, drive a bucket truck. Must be an experienced sweep tech. Must pass an examination of skills by cable maint tech before working on system. Must have a clean driving record to be able to drive our rigs and not too bad of a criminal history.
Other Requirements
A health card is required to be able to drive our bucket trucks.
Job Description
New aerial construction needs a good splicer and sweep technician. Splicing PCT taps, Motorola and BBI actives. Currently built and still growing about 10 miles of all new cable construction of p3 .625 and .875 cable taht needs spliced. It is summer up here so the weather is quite sunny in the interior. Sun stays out until midnight, temps are between 50 and 75 degrees. We provide housing and per-diem of $35/day. Great piecework rates with a bonus upon completion of work. We have been in business for over 20 years, never missed a payroll. We provide all meters, trucks, and tooling. You provide your own personal hand tools.
