Job Description
Sky King Satellite (SKS) Inc., is one of the largest and leading service provider with 12 offices throughout the US. We are seeking hardworking, reliable individuals interested in independent contractor (1099) work. Contractors would be responsible for installing DirecTV satellite systems within their assigned location. On average, SKS pays contractors $1200-$2800 bi-weekly. We currently have openings in the following areas:
Roanoke, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Louisville, Philly, Pittsburgh, Baton Rouge & Surrounding Area
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform all installation and service work in accordance with DirecTV guidelines.
• Provide the highest quality of customer satisfaction and education to the customer.
• Troubleshoot installation and service issues.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and requirements.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, criminal background and MVR check.
• Must possess a valid driver's license in the primary state of residence.
• Solid written communication skills required.
• Must have a truck/SUV/van/minivan that can be used while working as a contractor.
• Must have tools (i.e. drill, screwdrivers, ladder, etc.).
• Must be able to work at least 6 days a week (Saturday or Sunday is required).
• Experience preferred; but not required.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and climb ladders up to 40 feet in length.
• Must be able to work in tight spaces, including attics and crawl spaces.
• Willing to work outside in extreme weather conditions, including precipitation and
temperature variations.
• An essential duty of the position of Technician is to install satellite dishes with the use of a
ladder on customers' homes. The ladders used by DIRECTV have been rated by the American
National Standards Institute (ANSI) to hold a maximum total weight (including tool belt and
equipment) of 375 lbs. To allow for the weight of equipment an individual's weight cannot
exceed 325 lbs.
