Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of climbing experience in the wireless industry.
Other Requirements
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, pass a background, DMV records check, drug and alcohol test
• Current Com Train or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification fall arrest and fall protection
• OSHA 10, RF, First Aid and CPR
• Experience climbing and proficiency in using climbing gear is preferred
• Be willing to work long hours and weekends when necessary
• Be willing to travel to job sites as needed
Job Description
• Installing, terminating, and testing all aspects of a wireless communication site including antennas, connectors and steel on towers and rooftops
• Antenna installation, mounting, and removal, along with ret systems, and azimuth
• PIM and Sweep testing
• Knowledge of grounding
• Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office
• The basic use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment.
• The ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb. load.
• Act as a team lead and mentor to less experienced Tower Technicians.
