CAD Drafter Needed

Job Description
Responsible for communications system CAD drafting, and coordination with other engineering department personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Draft new and revise existing, aerial and underground plant facilities based on field and design information provided
Render detail drawings where required of MDU schematics, trenching details, road/bridge crossings, and design schematics
Plan and schedule projects with other department engineers and drafters
Read and interpret utility engineering drawings and plans to draft communications networks
Perform quality control on drafting from contractors
Communicate effectively on issues and correct and collaborate as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in computer aided design, AutoCAD, and MS Visio
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and database proficiency
Previous experience working in client proprietary software is preferred
Attention to detail is a must
Basic mathematical skills and calculation ability are required
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Understand routing of utilities and placement techniques used in civil construction
