Job Description
Hotwire Communications is a very fast-paced cutting edge technology company that provides triple play telecommunication services to residential and businesses customers.
Description:
The Construction Manager is responsible for successfully project managing the full life cycle of new construction development for various Hotwire initiatives, both commercial and residential. The ideal candidate will have a General Contracting background in residential and commercial work.
Responsibilities:
• Familiarize with contract and any verbal agreements identified as deliverables and take responsibility to ensure those deliverables are being met as outlined on time
• Manager and supervise subcontractors
• Design/layout space
• Review and approve SOW from Engineering, Construction and Plant groups. Ensure Construction schedules are being met. Ensure construction is completed and tested prior to TCO in new construction buildings.
• Review budget with EVP one on one and ensure that job does not exceed the budgeted amount. Identify areas of cost savings or efficiency for the budget if possible.
• Create project plan including timelines for implementation including engineering, construction, purchasing, marketing, customer impact and scheduling considerations
• Determine and communicate on site operational staffing requirements to VP Residential Operations
• Obtain executive approval of final project plan including timelines
• Hold each intercompany department responsible for individual deliverables including
o Ensure purchases orders are issued in timely manner
o Periodic inspection of professional and quality installation work
• Initial and ongoing coordination with property developer or property management personnel
• Create and Lead Bi-Weekly Status Reports/Meetings including sales penetration, construction timelines
• Responsible for delivering on time and within budget dictated by contracts and executive parameters
• Close project and ensure quality controls prior to final handoff to operations
• Coordinate the set-up of tradeshow booths/demos
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
• 5+ years in a similar role
• Must have an eye for design
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as necessary
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success in previous project management role
• 25% - 50% travel required
