Job Description
Lead MSO wide residential sales efforts for direct sales (door-to-door), community event, in/out bound and field technician sales channels. Deliver monthly and annual sales targets for residential Video, Internet and Voice products in these channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Formulate plan and develop sales strategies for new customer acquisition and customer upgrade through the above listed sales channels. Includes setting sales goals/quotas for all sales teams
-Provide leadership for the daily management, motivation, morale and sales production of the sales team, including employees and contract sales vendors
-Communicate the mission, values and goals of the sales organization and sales priorities to all sales team members
-Create positive and collaborative sales environment with focus on individual and team performance, with emphasis on customer service and satisfaction
-Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting of sales performance and related statistics (individual performance, recruiting and training, in-house and contractor commissions, and churn, etc.)
-Participate in development of promotional offer (pricing) strategy with leadership
-Lead and monitor computation of in-house and contractor commissions and sales incentives, ensuring accuracy of all payments. Maintain accurate and complete records of all commission and incentive payments, in compliance with local and company requirements
-Prepare monthly and annual sales, connect and commission forecasts for the Direct Sales, In/Out Bound and Technician sales channels.
-Develop, enhance and deliver relevant sales and product training to sales team. Provide coaching and mentoring to sales team in group and individual interactions, both structured and ad hoc
-Monitor effectiveness of sales compensation plans for in-house sales staff. Contribute to periodic review and revision of sales compensation plans to meet business priorities.
-Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Knowledge:
-Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Business Administration preferred or equivalent work experience
-A minimum of 5-7 years of successful sales management experience, within the cable or telecommunications industry preferred
-Proven track record of sales management achievement, exceeding sales targets and leading successful sales teams
-Experience managing compensation plans and commission processes
-Strong leadership skills including interpersonal communication, written and oral presentation, motivation, and recruiting/hiring
-Quantitative and analytical skills in support of forecasting and data analysis activities
-Team player that works collaboratively with other functional leadership in the company
-Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
-Strong persuasive and negotiating skills
-Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
