Qualifications

•Associates degree in a CAD or engineering related field and a minimum of two years of related experience (knowledge of the telecom industry, construction practices, project procedures and rules for placement of telecommunications facilities)• Demonstrated skill in the use of Auto CAD or Microstation and MS Office products is required. • Must have experience working with OSP maps, telecommunications project plans and DOT road plans. •Experience with MS Project or similar software preferred.

•Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable. • Ability to utilize a PC with various software applications •Professional demeanor and appearance, along with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, permitting authorities, other employees of the organization, and vendors, which requires excellent written and oral communication skills. •Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, set priorities, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the project, including preparation of project documentation, maps, and CAD drawings; requesting locates, identifying permit requirements and filing permit applications.
• Monitor progress of projects. Meet with internal and external customers with prepared reports to provide progress updates, answer questions, document any requested/required changes to project plans and communicate achievement of key measurable milestones.
• Coordinate with engineering team, assist in managing project resource allocation, provide direction and support to the team regarding project and permit status as they relate to deadlines.
• Assist co-workers in complying with industry-accepted codes, practices and safety standards.
• Obtain plans and GIS data from various sources to assist with project documents.
? Develop working relationships with Management, Project Managers, Foremen, and other co-workers to address and resolve problems and work in a cooperative manner to achieve company goals.
? Stay current in new developments in permitting requirements.
? Complete timesheets, expense reports, mileage reports, and other job related paperwork.
? Other duties as may be necessary or assigned by Management.
