Position: Aerial Foreman
Wage: Hourly Rate: DOE
Reports To: Project Manager / Aerial Supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1) Possess a valid driver’s license (Class “C” minimum) or be eligible and willing to acquire any needed drivers license (including “commercial class” license).
2) Provide a current copy of MVR Report showing driving history to be in conformance with CableCom Inc.’s Motor Vehicle Driving Criteria.
3) Meet all employment eligibility criteria (B/G Check, UA Test, etc)
4) Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
5) Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime whenever necessary and at the discretion of supervisors.
6) Ability to performing demanding tasks and heavy physical labor as assigned for the duration of the daily shift.
7) Must be a “certified pole climber” or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a
pole climber.
8) Must own all hand tools and climbing gear required to perform the daily functions
of this position.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1) Supervise and/or direct the daily work performed by 3 to 4 man crew. This includes ensuring that all needed tools and equipment are available at the jobsite, assigning work to the crew members in the field, working from engineered blue prints, and completing all necessary paperwork to track and bill for the work performed.
2) Installs aerial and underground cables and/or support members in conformance with all applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications (GO.95/128, NEC Electrical Code, System and/or City Specifications).
3) Climb utility poles and/or use aerial lift truck to place cables on poles per system design.
4) Assure that door-tagging and resident notification of our construction activities has been completed prior to starting each workday. Resolve customer/resident complaints related to construction activities performed by crew working under your supervision.
5) Ensure daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment assigned to crew working under your supervision is performed and documented. If appropriately licensed, drive company vehicles as needed to jobsite.

POSITION: DIRECTIONAL BORE OPERATOR/LOCATOR

WAGES: DOE (Dependent on Experience)

REPORTS TO: UNDERGROUND SUPERVISOR

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Possess a valid Commercial Drivers License, or be willing to obtain the required license for the position.
2. Provide a current DMV printout showing that driving history conforms to be in compliance with CableCom, Inc.s Motor Vehicle Driving Guidelines.
3. Capable of working in all temperatures, climates and weather conditions.
4. Willingness to work all shifts assigned, including daily overtime whenever necessary.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Operator: Responsible for daily maintenance on truck and boring machine. Perform critical care and service to the machine each use and each day. Duties require operator and crew to adhere to ALL manufacturer provided safe operation procedures and industry safety standards. Operate the drill, provide training and assistance to co-workers, perform routine labor (pot-holing, equipment set-up, conduit / duct / cable placement, set pedestals) as required, drive tow vehicle w/ drill to the jobsite. Willingness to cross-train as a bore locator as required. Operator will direct others to/or mix bore gel for the machine. Specific Job Requirements; prior experience operating drilling equipment, work well with others and participate on a crew, understand utility locate law and compliance procedures.

Locator: Responsible for daily operations of the crew, locates, dig ups, etc. Driver of Vac Truck tow vehicle to jobsite and perform daily maintenance on the vehicle. Responsibities include pre-job site survey/inspection to assure all utilities have been located and accounted for, planning the job, locating and directing the bore head and drill operator, assign work tasks to laborers. Assure all located utilities that are in the construction path have been pot-holed, assist in other jobsite labor tasks (set pedestals, place pipe/conduit, pull cables, etc). Willingness to cross-train to become proficient at operating drill machine. Specific Job Requirements; may hold a valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License) or willingness to acquire, possess experience operating a utility locator, experience in underground utility construction, will accept a leadership role and responsibility for a crew.

(1) Loading/unloading of equipment and supplies needed for daily work, setting-up of worksite traffic and safety controls and properly securing work area.

equipment (Rocksaws,Trenchers,Plows,Front Loaders
Bore Machines, etc...) in a manner that will allow
for safe, efficient, and profitable construction.
(3) Transport, load and unload, operate and maintain equipment required to perform daily tasks (4) Operate various jackhammers, air knives, pneumatic
boring equipment (compressors & missiles) when
necessary.
(5) Place conduit in completed trenches, splice conduit
sections (install couplers) as required.
(6) Perform required daily maintenance on the equipment
that you are operating (Hard Facing, Greasing,
Filter Changes, etc...)
(6) Clean and maintain all company vehicles and

PRIMARY DUTIES :

1) Supervise all operations to ensure that all construction operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. This includes ensuring that all employees working on project are working safely and productively.
2) Provide OJT training for employees working under your direction on construction practices and methods to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
3) Assign daily production to in-house and subcontract laborers and crews.
4) Requisition, assign and track materials needed for the daily operations.
5) Perform audits of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices.
6) Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel are working.
7) Review daily production reports, material usage sheets, keep track of work hours, complete and maintain accurate "as-built maps" for areas built.
8) Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
9) Verify submitted Daily Production Reports for accuracy and approve recorded production for billing purposes.

1) Load / unload trucks, trailers, and other equipment as needed to prepare for daily work.
2) Assist in setting up required traffic and pedestrian controls in work area each day.
3) Acquire internal training to allow for flagging and directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic safely through and around our daily work locations.
4) Perform and fully document daily pre-use inspections on vehicles and equipment being used by your crew. (Ensure the safety and serviceability of all vehicles and equipment each day before placing it into service).
5) Assist in pulling overhead cables and strands through easements, alleyways, and streetside aerial construction runs under the direction of Lineman.
6) Perform door-tagging and resident notification of our construction as directed by the Lineman.
7) If appropriately licensed, drive company vehicles as needed to jobsite.
8) Clean-up jobsite continuously throughout the workday and ensure that all construction scraps and debris are removed from the vehicles upon return to the yard daily.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1) Self-supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. This includes ensuring that all needed tools and equipment are available at the jobsite, working from engineered blueprints, working safely and keeping track of production.
2) Climb poles to complete daily construction assignments as needed.
3) Inspect and safely operate Aerial Bucket Truck (AT200A) to allow positioning at aerial splicing locations where required
4) Field train and control/oversee the work of other Splicers when assigned.
5) Resolve complaints with property owners in areas that your working.(Talk to residents & explain what it is we are doing)

5. Must possess significant knowledge of Underground Utility Construction Code and Regulation Law (NEC Electrical Code; GO-128; etc.)
6. Ability to operate heavy construction equipment used in Underground Utility Construction (Backhoe’s, Trenchers, Directional Drills, Pneumatic Hammers and Piercing Tools, etc)


PRIMARY DUTIES:

Position will require an employee to:
1) Operate and train employees to operate the equipment needed to complete all operations assigned.
2) Assign work to co-workers to ensure all operations are completed and in accordance with industry, company and customer standards and regulations.
3) Pre-field all assigned work to ensure utility locates are present, residents have been notified of the work, permits are onsite, prior to the inception of the work.
4) Track employee work hours and submit accurate daily production reports, material usage reports and timesheets.
5) Ensure all construction sites are fully restored and accepted prior to leaving the location.
6) Turn-in accurate, detailed construction as-built maps showing progress and completion of assigned work.
7) Verify documented daily pre-use inspections are performed on all assigned vehicles and equipment prior to placing them into service.
