Qualifications
1. Certified flagger
2. Possession of a class valid class A Oregon driver’s license. (This position is subject to the U.S. D.O.T. and Federal Highway Administration regulations relating to controlled substance and alcohol use and testing)
3. Current CPR card.
4. Ability to drive Company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
Job Description
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
1. Place all hardware associated with the construction of fiber, CATV, copper and strand on both wooden and steel structures
2. Operate and maintain all equipment and tools associated with Aerial and UG utility construction
3. Know and follow all OSHA safety procedures related to do with utility construction.
4. Install, remove, inspect and maintain overhead and underground lines and equipment.
5. Work flexible hours, overtime, and take 24 hour on call duty rotating basis, including nights, weekends and holidays
6. Operate equipment such as line trucks, aerial lift trucks, pulling equipment and backhoes.
7. Perform work with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
8. Must have the ability to work as a member of a team.
9. Proficient with go95 codes and NESC code for utility construction]
10. Perform all other duties assigned
11. Maintain and possess climbing gear and own hand tools.
12. Perform heavy manual labor, able to lift 70 lbs. on occasion.
13. Read and interpret line construction plans and written instructions.
14. Work, including travel, outdoors in adverse weather conditions day or night.
