Qualifications
• The MDU Fiber Crews will demonstrate the ability to use hand and portable power tools safely and efficiently in both indoor and outdoor environments. Drilling concrete, hammering and sawing EMT, PVC and microduct pipe, install connectors and attachments as needed to NEC and local building codes. Install boxes and terminals both EMT and PVC. Install and secure EMT, PVC and microduct pathway. Fire stop per state, fire codes, and practices.

Job Description
The MDU Crews must demonstrate the ability to use hand and portable power tools safely and efficiently in both indoor and outdoor environments. Drilling concrete, hammering and sawing EMT, PVC and microduct pipe, install connectors and attachments as needed to NEC and local building codes. Install boxes and terminals both EMT and PVC. Install and secure EMT, PVC and microduct pathway. Fire stop per state, fire codes, and practices.
• Install fiber optic cables, coaxial cables and CAT 5/6 cables. Identify and document all cables and boxes correctly.
• Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans, document daily records and reports, and hours worked
• Demonstrate the ability to use and care for fiber optic test equipment, ruby light, power meter, and OTDR and document test results accurately
• Ability to work safely from ladders and exercise safe lifting techniques and able to carry up to 70 pounds
