Qualifications
Strand - As built mapping for at least 3 years, performing pole loading field work using Osmose O'Calc calibrated photo methods. We provide waterproof cameras, tripods, rare earth compasses with sights for azimuths, 13 foot survey stick for photos, pole boards to own pole number to photos, and calipers for down guy sizing.
Other Requirements
You need a plus 1.2 inch +- laser rangefinder such as an Impulse 100-200 series, TruePulse 360 as we are to the +- inch on anchor measurements. Need a 34 fiberglass stick for mid-spans. Need a 11x17 color scanner - printer as all fielders are assigned a Share File account to upload maps and profile sheets when map is complete. We are using 1"-100 Ortho Photo sub-meter base maps with homes, power poles, and pole numbers and class on the base. No addressing nor house counts are done this phase.
Job Description
You will be connecting the distribution poles with a red ink pen on base maps of poles that need pole loading, and any anchoring needed to support such build. Physical mid span measurements are done, but not on the pole as the photo provides the attachment heights via software analysis.
