Qualifications

Field Engineering personnel experienced in strand mapping and pole loading procedures using Osmose O'Calc procedures using camera in field and recording azimuth of cables, conductors, and anchor leads from pole.

Other Requirements

GPS Cameras with WiFi, Tripods, Pole Boards, Compass for azimuth bearings, 13 foot calibration sticks, and one day or such on site training provided. You need a decent laser rangefinder such as an Laser Tech Impulse I - II, Trupulse 360 as all measurements have to be +- 1.2 inch accuracy. A GPS device such as $ 300.00 or so Garmin is required for Lat - Lon and Elevation of each pole.A decent 11x17 scanner - printer is needed as we load maps and pole sheets to design office when completed.

Job Description

Providing strand data - connecting the spans as the power poles are on the ortho photographic maps with pole numbers and size and height on the base, performing calibrated digital photos of each pole, and the mid-spans on each side of pole with 34 foot or equivalent fiberglass measuring stick.

Connecting the poles needed to provide service to areas with anchors. No footage's, house counts, or addressing is done as that is the second phase of design process. Working on 1"-100 scale on 11x17 maps.
